If you're reading this, chances are good you're contemplating some sort of event. We can help — whether you ultimately choose us or not. Some shows are pure entertainment. A well-crafted event can be a marketing tool that entertains. The PDFs below offer some valuable insights in two areas. Checkout our Blog for additional information.
Planning a special event is part innovation, part allocation, part experience – all decidedly event-specific. The range of possibilities makes it difficult to be prescriptive, however there are several common considerations and pitfalls.
Both a gamble and a wildly cost-effective marketing tool, 'earned media' punches well above its weight. Once 'luck of the draw' in terms of exposure, media event content is finding a powerful new home in the most unlikely place.
The competitive landscape these days is intense. In a very real way, the competition includes information and entertainment options everywhere. Connectivity and the blurring line between screens and reality mean that the most aggressive marketers now set the benchmark for audience expectation.
Creating unique presentations that place the product or brand in the spotlight, Aubrum offers savvy marketers the skills and experience required to build events that stand out.
In the past, traditional advertising allowed marketers to get the word out. But fragmentation, narrow-casting and the explosion of leisure options have altered the landscape exponentially. In a hyper-competitive environment, where it is increasingly difficult to be heard, establishing a 'relationship' with customers has become an essential if not the prime imperative. Presentation and events help brands deliver tangible connection.
Formerly the turf of only the largest, now brands of all sizes – as well as media outlets and even government agencies – find themselves engaging in proactive outreach in order to retain their standing in an ever-more capricious milieu. Gone are the days of the same old, same old. Now, an Instagram moment can help or torpedo the most strategic media buy.
But new requirements also bring new opportunity. Once a memorable experience only for those in attendance, magnetic presentations now find new avenues and potentially higher currency through social media and web portals. What's more, the 'snapshot' effect actually increases potency, contributing substantially to brand ethos and stature. In the new reality, the right 'vehicle' can yield astounding impact. There is no more creative environment than a consumer's imagination. Be there.
Special events take many forms; performance to exploration, contest to demonstration, purchase to immersive experience. Regardless of form, successful events entice, entertain, inform and otherwise intuitively meet the needs of their audiences. Large or small, free or ticketed, interactive or passive, the offering must deliver a sense of benefit for patrons. This need not always be profound or life affirming, but those attending must leave feeling that their choice was an advantage and not a disappointment.
Touring is a specialized activity. There is a big difference between doing a show in another place and doing a show in different place day after day. Touring presentations must be self-contained, able to make the show happen regardless of local circumstance. The show must go on. Equipment is important, but in the final analysis it is the crew that makes an event happen. Aubrum provides seasoned professionals with the know-how and experience to get the show on the road and keep on going.
Whether you have a question or a project you would like to talk about, please don't hesitate to get in-touch. We would be delighted to help.
Certainly not – the show must (always) go on. The pandemic has taken its toll on assembly and the impact may not yet be fully behind us. But the fundamental human need to gather is surging everywhere you look; dinning-out (and in), sports, concerts. Traditional 'performing arts'...
By definition, attraction (noun) is "the action or power of evoking interest in or liking for someone or something" and (verb) "causing one to come to a place or participate in an activity by offering something of interest and/or benefit". The meanings are fairly straightforward; successfully ...
The 'buzz' words that currently dominate web development are UI/UX – User Interface and User Experience. But when you stop to think about it, those same two considerations are the basis of all consumer satisfaction, whether the product is a good, a service, or even a leisure experience.
The first step is to have a conversation.
It is important to establish objectives and a comfortable working rapport. If there is a good fit, we will then provide a detailed proposal outlining next steps, timelines and fees. Through all of this there is absolutely no obligation to proceed. Once the framework has been established, a service agreement is created.
Short answer, no. The focus is almost exclusively 'public' shows and events.
There are many companies that specialize in PowerPoint and other internal events, some exceptional. Our raison d'être is public presentation; gatherings where the target audience is outside the corporate sphere. These are less about communicating information and more about communicating a feeling. Rooted in 'show biz', we offer an innate understanding of how to attract and sustain interest. Your staff are required to attend internal meetings. But the public are not required to stay at any event.
Aubrum provides clients with the expertise they require.
Events come in all types and sizes. Some components are within the organization's abilities. Some are more prudently handled by specialists. Our role is to provide the support required to best achieve the objectives, thus creating presentations that deliver flair and panache.
Good question, simple answer. The craft and equipment required to add 'sizzle' to an event are varied, and at the cutting edge, constantly evolving.
There are many options and possibilities available for creating compelling experiences. When a supplier owns equipment, enlightened self-interest dictates that not only is it the precise equipment required, but also, that the entire event will revolve around in-house inventory; whether those components suit the objective or not. Not being restricted to specific crafts or equipment allows 'blue-sky' thinking for all aspects of the presentation.
Aubrum delivers the skill-set to put virtually any event on the road.
That said, the target niche revolves around 'public' attractions, typically with an 'entertainment' feature – passive or interactive. Presentation structure can be 'hit and run' (one day) or extended stay. Touring is a substantially different beast than simply doing a show somewhere else. Whether the presentation is down the street or downtown in another city, the logistics are relatively easy to plan. But, as mentioned earlier, when a show plays multiple locations in succession, without returning to home base, preparation must include enough skill and redundancy to keep the event going, regardless of local conditions. The show must always go on.
